The Agricultural History Society of Ireland is always open to new members and would like to hear from anyone with an interest in agricultural or food history.  Our main activity is organising conferences on a range of agriculture-related topics.  See About for further details.

This photo, by F.McAdam was taken in Ballywalter, Co. Down in 1964. It shows one of the earliest powered combine in the area harvesting barley on the farm. The driver is Mr Ernie Hall and the two men on the right are the two grandfathers of committee member and conference organiser, Jim McAdam.
